Consider adobe walls

Adobe is a traditional building method using mud-clay bricks that are dried in the sun.
Adobe bricks are traditionally made on or near the building site. Adobe walls make the most sense in climates that have big swings between day and night temperatures, such as the high deserts of the Southwest. If the insulation is applied to the exterior, appropriately adjusted for climate, and helps prevent erosion, adobe can work well in any climate. If soil allows, adobe can be an excellent use of local material. But the agricultural-quality soil often used to make adobe bricks may be better used for growing crops.
