Description

Build Equinox’s Conditioning Energy Recovery Ventilator (CERV) is an energy recovery ventilator that also monitors indoor air quality. Engineered for residential use, the CERV provides approximately 3,800 BTUBritish thermal unit, the amount of heat required to raise one pound of water (about a pint) one degree Fahrenheit in temperature—about the heat content of one wooden kitchen match. One Btu is equivalent to 0.293 watt-hours or 1,055 joules. /hr cooling and 5,500 BTU/hr heating capacities while monitoring inside and outside temperatures and relative humidity. The unit Fresh Air Control Module monitors interior carbon dioxide and VOCVolatile organic compound. An organic compound that evaporates readily into the atmosphere; as defined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, VOCs are organic compounds that volatize and then become involved in photochemical smog production. levels and, using preset indoor air quality set points (in parts per million), adjusts fresh air flow accordingly to maximize energy efficiency, air circulation in the home, and fresh air flow.
